Big Science Records continues to expand its physical catalogue, whilst further cementing its legacy, with a new release from Fareed due out by the 2nd of October, comprising eight magical, danceable tracks that take listeners on an incredible narrative journey, on recycled purple cassettes materials.

Fareed is a French DJ, composer, and producer whose work sits at the crossroads of experimental techno, bass music, breaks, and electronic sound design.  Over the years, he has released albums on labels such as Hilltop Imprint, Construct Re-Form, Chambre Noire, Maze Records and Big Science Records, as part of the ‘Single Series’ on 45rpm. His productions are characterized by complex rhythmic structures, fragmented breakbeats, deep bass textures and a rich palette of influences drawn from North African musical traditions. 

We are very proud to present this new release, which gives us the opportunity—for the second time—to showcase and share the incredible work and magical expression of our old friend. Because once the process is set in motion, with the arrival of Al Sahir, we find ourselves swept away by a true sense of liberation that grips you like a druid’s wand in the middle of the desert—one you cannot escape.
